Inactive Accounts

Per company policy, Bublup reserves the right to remove accounts after a period of inactivity. If there’s no activity on your Bublup account for an extended period of time, Bublup will notify you—the account owner—via an email and push notification.

To keep an account active, log in and save some items. Or, if you no longer want your account, you can close it.

What does “inactive” mean?

Bublup determines inactive accounts by looking at recent activity (adding or editing) within the last 180 days. If you’ve logged in and had any qualifying activity on Bublup within the previous 180 days, then your account is considered active.

Why did I receive an email about my account when I’ve been actively using Bublup?

If you recently used your Bublup account, but still received an account-closure email, it’s likely that we contacted you about a separate, unused Bublup account (possibly one that you forgot you created).

Many of our users have multiple Bublup accounts. Be sure to check the email address of the account you actively use by going to My Info > “My Profile” (or on mobile, go to ☰Menu > “My Info & Settings” and tap the profile information at the top).

 

How to keep your Bublup account

You can keep your account active by:

  • Logging into Bublup on the web or in the mobile apps, and
  • Adding or editing items or folders.

Note: Only viewing or sharing items and folders won’t count as activity to keep your account active.

 

What if I’ve forgotten my password?

You can reset your password if you’ve forgotten it.

What if I’ve lost access to the email address on my Bublup account?

If you no longer have access to the email address associated with your Bublup account, you can contact your email service provider  to try to regain access to your email account. If you remember your username and password, you can still log into your Bublup account and change your primary email address under My Info > “My Profile”.

 

How to close your Bublup account

If you no longer want your Bublup account, you can simply leave it alone. You’ll have 30 days after receiving the first inactivity email to log in to your account before it’s closed, and we’ll send you a reminder in advance.

Can I close my account now?

If you wish to close your account, you can do so anytime by following these instructions.

How do I save my data before closing my account?

Log in to mystuff.bublup.com or the Bublup mobile app and export your account data.

Does Bublup delete files after inactivity?

After your account is closed, any remaining files in your account will be subject to deletion, and you won’t be able to log into the account on bublup.com or any of the devices on which you have installed the Bublup app.

Note: Account closures will only affect users on a free Bublup plan. If you have a paid account and you received an email about your account being deleted due to inactivity, you probably have a free account connected to that email address.
