Bublup Support    Rolls

Give a roll a unique URL

Roll domains are a great way to personalize roll URLs in Bublup! Once you create a roll domain, you can assign that roll an easy link. Giving your rolls custom URLs will help you, and others, easily remember how to navigate to your roll, and give context as to what's in your roll.

  • Desktop
  • Mobile
First you'll need to create a roll domain:

1. Click on "My Info" in the upper left corner.

2. Click on “Rolls” under "Preferences". Here you can create a unique roll domain (up to 3 with a Premium account) for use when creating your rolls. Type a domain in the box; you will be told whether or not that domain is available for use. When you have a name you like, click “create”.

3. Roll domains can be deleted by hovering over the domain and clicking "delete". Note that if you delete a roll domain, you'll have to be okay assigning a default URL to existing rolls containing that domain name.

Now that, you've created a domain, assign your roll an "easy link".

4. Enter the folder for which you want to create a roll. In the roll creation menu click on the "easy link" tab. Click on the toggle to turn "on" an easy link for your roll. Select your roll domain in the dropdown menu (if you have more than one domain), then enter an easy link name.

In this example, my domain is "Asheville" and my easy link is "Restaurants".

5. After creating your roll, you will now see that the roll domain shows something like this: https://rolls.bublup.com/digital/myphotos. This makes it easier to remember, and nicer to share with friends!
